COVID-19 Policy

Our first priority is the health and safety of our guests and team, so we will continue to observe social distancing guidelines and take preventative measures as set forth by state and local governments to help keep you safe. We understand that this can be an uncertain time to travel, so while closed again, we worked diligently to develop an even more improved, robust cleaning and operational program for our team to ensure the safety, well-being, and peace of mind of our guests as outlined below. In addition, more information is readily available to our guests upon request. We look forward to welcoming you!



  • We require guests of the resort and restaurants to wear face masks as required by the State of California and Sonoma County Health Department when in public areas of the resort and will follow six-foot physical distancing minimums.
  • The resort is offering contactless check in prior to arrival to ensure a safe and easy check in process
  • Entrance doors are propped open to encourage fresh air flow.
  • We have changed our guest restrooms to single use restrooms to ensure that social distancing guidelines are adhered to.
  • We are not accepting the handling of/purchasing with cash.
  • Staff has undergone new training to ensure adherence to all appropriate COVID-19 protocols.


  • When possible, guestrooms are cleaned and vacant for at least 24 hours prior to the next check in.
  • A supervisor inspects and disinfects staff’s cleaning of guest rooms and marks the room handle with a sticker noting date and initials.
  • All refrigerators are filled with complimentary wine and beverages and sanitized for your safety prior to check in.
  • All high-touch items have been temporarily removed from the guest rooms.
  • QR codes have been added to replace Resort Directory and property information
  • In-room breakfast delivery is available to our guests by pre-ordering from a menu using QR scan codes.
  • Breakfast and lunch dining services at River Vine restaurant have been suspended temporarily.
  • Turn down service has been suspended temporarily.
  • Added amenities and additional guest necessities will be delivered to the rooms upon request.


  • The Spa’s outdoor pool is available for use to all overnight guests (adults over the age of 18).
  • Face coverings must be worn when out of the water whenever six-foot distancing cannot be maintained, unless exempt from CDPH guidelines.
  • Chaise lounge chairs are checked and sanitized throughout business hours and reset with appropriate physical distancing.
  • Towel rack and all other desks and counters are sanitized throughout the day.


  • Our table locations at John Ash & Co. and The Front Room Bar & Lounge comply with the appropriate social distancing guidelines and sanitation requirements set forth by state and local governments. River Vine restaurant remains closed.
  • Tables are spaced at intervals of no less than six feet in order to comply with social distancing recommendations.
  • The number of our guests is limited by the number of tables available.
  • Our restaurant entrance doors are propped open to encourage fresh air flow. There is one way IN and one way OUT designated to prevent crossing.
  • Our menus are one-use only and disposed after each use.
  • We have changed our guest restrooms to single use restrooms to ensure that social distancing guidelines are adhered to.
  • We are not accepting the handling of/purchasing with cash.


  • Our employees are regularly self-monitoring for symptoms and taking their own temperatures each day before traveling to work. Any employees with a temperature reading of 100 degrees or higher, or that exhibits any other COVID-19 related symptoms (cough, sore throat, vomiting or diarrhea) is required to stay home.
  • Our employees must notify their supervisor if they begin to feel sick and immediately leave the premises.
  • Our employees must wear face coverings and gloves when appropriate during business hours.
  • Employees are required to dispose of gloves and wash their hands before and after each use.


  • Hand sanitizer or hand washing stations are available to all customers and employees.
  • We clean and sanitize common areas, including restrooms, and surfaces regularly. We have designated a housekeeper to rove throughout all the restaurant areas.
  • We clean and sanitize each guest area after every use.
  • Glassware, place settings, utensils, menus, and accouterments are either single-use or are cleaned and sanitized after every use.
  • We have posted COVID-19 Information signage at the entrances with sanitation procedures.
  • We have placed signage recommended by the CDC in our public restrooms to remind guests to wash hands.
  • A nightly cleaning crew cleans, sanitizes, and disinfects all areas of our facility to encourage a safe environment for our guests and staff.
